タペストリー「琳派・富士」
麻の葉オリジナルの手ぬぐい「琳派・富士」を和紙に表装し御仕立てしたタペストリーです。
琳派は江戸時代初期に、本阿弥光悦と俵屋宗達によって創始、尾形光琳や尾形乾山が発展させ、江戸末期には酒井抱一が定着させました。日本最高峰で日本を代表する名峰「富士山」と水辺を飛ぶ冬鳥を描いた作品。日本文化ならではの詫びさびの美徳が感じられる格調の高い絵柄です。
富士山は、古代より神聖な場所として信仰され、様々な美術や文学など芸術作品にも多く登場してきました。現代では世界文化遺産に登録され、日本と言えば富士山を連想するほど、世界中の人に広く知られています。また、「ふじ」の語呂合わせから不死や不老長寿、末広がりの裾野から子孫繁栄や商売繁盛の縁起物とされています。
絵柄に込められた縁起の良い意味と共にお正月飾りやお年賀、誕生日や出産祝い・初節句祝いなどおめでたい時節のインテリアや、結婚祝い、引っ越し祝い、開店祝いなどの贈答品にもおすすめです。また日本の伝統工芸品「掛軸」は外国の方へのプレゼントや海外への日本土産にも喜ばれます。

Tapestry “Rinpa – Fuji”
Tapestry made by mounting the original Asanoha Tenugui “Rimpa Fuji” on Japanese paper.
The Rimpa school was founded by Honami Koetsu and Tawaraya Sotatsu in the early Edo period, developed by Ogata Korin and Ogata Kenzan, and established by Sakai Hoitsu in the late Edo period. Fuji, Japan’s highest and most famous mountain, and winter birds flying along the water’s edge. It is a highly prestigious design that conveys the virtue of apres-sabi, which is unique to Japanese culture.
Fuji has been worshipped as a sacred place since ancient times and has featured in many works of art and literature. Today, it is registered as a World Heritage Site and is so widely known to people around the world that when people think of Japan, they associate it with Mount Fuji. Fuji is also regarded as a good-luck charm for immortality and longevity, and for the prosperity of descendants and business due to its broad base.
With the auspicious meaning of the design, it is recommended as a gift for New Year’s decorations, New Year’s greetings, birthdays, birth and first festive season celebrations, wedding celebrations, housewarming celebrations, store-opening celebrations and other occasions of congratulation.
