アートフレームセット「絵てぬぐい おひなさま」
アートフレームと絵てぬぐいのギフトセットです。
アートフレームは当店で開発した特許商品。マグネット式の上下2本のフレームに挟んで吊るすだけで、簡単に手ぬぐいをタペストリーとして飾れます。フレームの表面は桜の蒔絵、裏面は無地なので、インテリアにあわせて表側も裏側もお使いいただけます。
セットされている手ぬぐいは、注染という伝統の技で熟練の職人が染めました。手染めによる鮮やかな染め色と粋な風合いが日本の文化を伝えます。
◆絵てぬぐい「おひなさま」◆
立ち雛のお雛様とお内裏様に、桃の花、春うららかな霞…平安時代から続く日本の歳時記「桃の節句」を美しく染め上げました。
３月３日に雛人形を飾って女の子の健やかな成長を願う雛祭りは、穢れを人形に移して祓う「流しびな」の風習が起源とされています。最初のお雛さまは立ち雛でしたが、江戸時代以降は内裏の生活習慣を模して座り雛が一般的になりました。一部の地方では今も立ち雛を飾る習慣が受け継がれています。近年では、立ち姿のお内裏さまとお雛さまは着物の絵柄が映え、格式の高いその美しい姿から立ち雛が見直され、おしゃれな雛人形として人気が出ています。
おひな様と共に描かれている「桃の花」には、厄除け・魔除けや長寿をもたらし生命力の象徴とされていることから、ひな祭りの飾りに添える花とされています。

Art Frame Set “Tenugui: Doll’s Festival”
This gift set includes an art frame and a hand-dyed Tenugui, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design.
The Art Frame is a patented product developed in-house, featuring two magnetic frames that easily hold the Tenugui like a tapestry. Simply sandwich the fabric between the two magnetic frames and hang it up. The front of the frame features a delicate sakura (cherry blossom) maki-e design, while the back is plain, allowing you to switch it up to match your interior style.
The Tenugui is dyed using the traditional Chusen technique by skilled artisans, with vibrant colors and a refined texture that showcase the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship.
Tenugui: Doll’s Festival
This Tenugui elegantly portrays the Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival) tradition, featuring a regal Tachibina-style Emperor and Empress, delicate peach blossoms, and the soft spring mist that heralds the arrival of the season. This timeless Japanese seasonal celebration, known as Momo no Sekku (Peach Festival), has been cherished since the Heian period.
Celebrated on March 3rd, Hinamatsuri is a festival dedicated to praying for the healthy growth and happiness of young girls. The tradition originates from the ancient Nagashibina ritual, in which impurities were transferred to dolls and then set afloat on rivers to be purified.
The earliest Hina dolls were in the form of Tachibina (standing dolls), but from the Edo period onward, seated dolls became the norm, reflecting the lifestyle of the imperial court. However, in some regions, the tradition of displaying Tachibina has been preserved.
Recently, Tachibina has regained popularity as a sophisticated and stylish alternative to traditional seated Hina dolls. Their upright posture beautifully showcases the intricate patterns of their kimono, enhancing their noble appearance.
The peach blossom (momo no hana), depicted alongside the dolls, is an essential part of Hinamatsuri decorations. It is believed to possess protective powers, warding off misfortune and evil spirits while symbolizing longevity and vitality.
This Tenugui beautifully captures the grace and history of Hinamatsuri, making it a charming seasonal decoration or a thoughtful gift to celebrate the growth and happiness of young girls.
